Hotter than a Witches.. Shhh Hush yo mouth

Okay.. Here we go. We did a lot today, that is for sure. The above picture is of the corn palace in Mitchell, SD. What makes this thing unique is that the entire facade is made of corn. The husks, the ears, everything. You can't see it from a distance like this but zooming in on the picture you can really see.

We traveled west through the badlands and into Mount Rushmore. The thermo on my truck said at one point it was 108 degrees outside. One thing i remembered about the badlands is the biting flies. And the instant I got out.. POW.. right in the leg.

Nothing some OFF doesn't fix. :)

The above picture is of course Mount Rushmore area, peeking through a whole at the magestic carving of George washington.

Here is me getting impatient and saying, take the picture already. NOtice the water. We are going through a lot of water, or at least I am. I am drinking it like crazy. Its HOT out here. Right now we are camped in Sundance, Wyoming and it was 95 when we pulled in at 8:00pm. That's 10:00pm Eastern time.

its not too bad outside right now.. its 79 degrees.

THis is a photo of AAron that says BEWARE Rattlesnakes.

This was taken at an area that is very very dry. The badlands of south dakota look like mars. And animals tend to congregate around areas of water. Notice the green behind AARON? That's because it was in a small area near water. We heard two different rattles while walking along the elevated bridge area. Didn't plan on venturing into th bushes to see what it was.
